Dr. Dirk Trossen is a globally recognized expert in next-generation networking with over 25 years of experience spanning Nokia, BT, InterDigital, Huawei, and academia including MIT and Cambridge. He has led groundbreaking innovations in 5G/6G, edge computing, and Internet architecture, holds 50+ patents, and has contributed to major standards bodies like IETF, ITU, and 3GPP. As VP of R&D at Norwaves Networks AS, he drives the evolution of future-ready private network solutions.
Tom Kristian
Vice President of Strategy & Go-To-Market
MSc from NTH, brings over 30 years of experience in telecommunications across Alcatel, Siemens, and Nokia. He has held key roles from software development to project leadership and solution architecture, with a strong focus on the Nordic market. In recent years, he served as Nokia’s technical lead for EU innovation projects like 5G-VINNI and IMAGINE-B5G, earning GLOMO and FutureNet awards. Known for his customer-centric approach, Tom specializes in 5G Core, Open APIs, Network Slicing, and Autonomous Operations.
Qazi Sohail Ahmad
Vice President Business Development
Qazi Sohail Ahmad is a seasoned innovation leader with 15+ years of experience in EU-funded projects, digital transformation, and 5G innovation. He has led strategic 5G initiatives with national agencies and industry partners, and previously drove major EU projects at Smart Innovation Norway. With dual master’s degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, Qazi is known for bridging public-private ecosystems and turning innovation into real-world impact.
Hemant Zope
Head of Technology & Deployment
Hemant Zope is a 5G Core Network specialist with over 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying cloud-native, scalable network solutions. As a Research Scientist at Fraunhofer FOKUS, he has led development for Open5GCore and contributed to cutting-edge EU and industry PoCs. With a Master’s in Information & Communication Systems from TU Chemnitz, Hemant combines technical depth with a passion for advancing next-generation network architectures.

Bahargul Emin is an international business leader with 15+ years of experience in private 5G, AI, cloud, and global career services. As Co-founder and CEO of Norwaves Networks, she leads innovation and strategy for next-gen telecom solutions. She also heads global university partnerships at Highered, connecting 500+ schools with top employers. Currently pursuing an EMBA at BI Norwegian Business School, Bahargul is known for driving cross-sector collaboration and impact across Europe and Asia.
